Privacy Policy

Who this covers
This policy explains how DapApp (“Dap”, “we”) handles personal information on this website, including the waitlist form. The Dap app has not launched; this policy will be revised before it does, and it does not describe the app.
What we collect
One thing: your email address, and only if you type it into the waitlist form and submit it. We store it alongside the date you submitted it. Nothing else is attached to that record: not your IP address, not your browser, not where you came from. Page-view measurement is separate, and is described below.
Submitting the same address twice does not create a second record.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
This site sets no cookies and embeds no advertising. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies, and Vercel’s product is designed not to collect personal information such as your IP address or a persistent identifier. The product demo plays from a video file served by this site, not from a third-party player, so nothing is reported back to anyone about what you watch.
Why we use it
To send you two emails and no others: one confirming you are on the list, straight after you submit the form, and one telling you when Dap is ready to try. We will not add you to a newsletter, sell or rent your address, or share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Who else sees it
Addresses are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), which acts as our processor on our instructions. Google operates data centres outside India, so your address may be stored and processed abroad under Google’s own safeguards. The emails described above are delivered by Resend, which receives your address for that purpose alone and is likewise our processor. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Page-view counts are processed by Vercel, which hosts this site.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until the launch message has been sent and you have not signed up, whichever comes first.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and depending on where you live under other laws too, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to complain to a data protection authority.
A route for making these requests will be published on this page. Until it is, the only personal information we hold about you is the email address you chose to give us.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes affecting anyone already on the waitlist will be sent by email.
